In keeping with its mission, Kids Bridge, Inc. currently provides the following services to the families of St. Johns County:
- Supervised Visitations — The safety, wellbeing, and emotional healing of children and families is of the utmost importance to the staff and the volunteers of Kids Bridge. A Kids Bridge employee or trained volunteer supervises each visit and tailors the level and the intensity of the supervision to the specific characteristics of each case, including such things as the reason for the service referral and the length of time that supervised visitation services have been provided.
- Monitored Exchanges — Sadly, many children are caught in the middle of irreconcilable custody disputes. In these cases, parents can spend quality time with their children but, unfortunately, cannot meet each other without conflict. When a Kids Bridge employee or trained volunteer monitors the exchange of the children, potential confrontation between the adults is eliminated, and the process can occur in a safe, trauma-free environment.
- Monitored Telephone Calls — Unfortunately, instances occur where one or both of the parents attempt to involve the children in adult matters that should be kept between the parents. When a Kids Bridge employee or trained volunteer monitors the telephone call between a parent and child, the possibility of inappropriate communication from the parent to the child is eliminated.
- Parenting Program — Kids Bridge takes a widely accepted and utilized Parenting Program and modifies and tailors it to the specific needs of the parent, generally over the course of 6-8 weekly one-on-one sessions.
- Anger Management
